Made from an all natural high quality diatomaceous earth, naturally occurring minerals, and environment-friendly non-slip material, making the diatomite mat simple to use and perfect for any household with a dog. The sedimentary rock contains millions of micropores which allow water to evaporate quickly and prevent the accumulation of moisture, bacteria, mold and fungus, making it highly absorbent and fast drying.

Care instruction
It’s really easy to clean and maintain your Diatomite Mat. Simply wash it with water or wipe with a wet cloth to remove any residue before usage. Repeat this process once a week to remove the accumulated residue, dirt and dust. Place the mat in a well-ventilated area to air dry fast.
Similar to light-colored food rests or darker liquids can cause some staining if absorbed into the mat. In this case it can be cleaned by using sandpaper and gently rub off any marks.
Unlike other mats Diatomite Mat performs an extremely fast drying process that dissipates moisture and helps to prevent mold.
However mold is a persistent and tricky invader, while our mat can absorb up to 3 times its own weight in water, it needs an adequate airflow to rapidly dry. If your Diatomite Mat is constantly saturated and not able to properly dry out, it can eventually grow mold but at a much slower rate than any other similar product.
To prevent this be sure your mat has fully dried out between uses meaning it must become its original light color over the entire mat – you can also prop it up against the wall until the color is back and there he is ready to go!
